A standard front-of-lens tool used to kill unwanted reflections, cut glare off non-metallic surfaces, and pop contrast in the sky. It gives the DP direct control over what’s visible through windows or on water, handling contrast issues in-camera that can't be fixed cleanly in post.
The glass sits in a rotating tray so the AC or operator can fine-tune the polarization angle on the fly. It handles harsh reflections without shifting color or degrading sharpness, dropping straight into any standard matte box configuration.
